Theresa George (*1984) is a film anthropologist based in Hamburg and Leipzig. From 2005 to 2013, she studied cultural anthropology, journalism and political science. Based on this, she co-develops films and videos in changing constellations, works for film festivals, curates her own programmes and teaches visual anthropology.

Workshop Film macht Schule  (2025)

Workshop together with Helena Wittman In the workshop, participants learn about the subtantial elements of filmmaking through hands-on experience. Together, we collect visual and audio materials and fragments in small groups. We look for locations and think about them. We develop short scenes and watch them together. We experiment with text fragments and record them. Only at the end, when we edit together, does it become clear how the various elements can be combined to form a complete film.
